Our Mission

Our Mission is to REuse, REcycle, & REpurpose Unused and Unwanted apparel turning it into REsponsible wearable art. Each garment is REscued or REdone by hand. We also strive to REscue cool vintage collectables, art and more!!

Facts:

Every year, the average American generates around 80 pounds of textile waste! The volume of clothing Americans throw away each year has doubled in the last 20 years, from 7 million to 14 million tons. In 2018, 17 million tons of textile waste ended up in landfills, according to data from the Environmental Protection Agency, making up 5.8 percent of the total MSW generation that year.

According to the World Resources Institute, it takes 2,700 liters of water to make one cotton shirt. Textiles can take up to 200+ years to decompose in landfills. During the decomposition process, textiles generate greenhouse methane gas and leach toxic chemicals and dyes into the groundwater and our soil.
